The Aerial and Orbital Image Analysis Group develops algorithms and methods to extract information of technical or scientific relevance from airborne and orbital image data in support of both NASA and non-NASA sponsors. This work includes:
- Image-based mapping and spacecraft localization in support of future flight missions
- Automatic identification and characterization of dynamic behavior from orbit, including across sensor modalities
- Development of semi-supervised and human-in-the-loop tools and techniques for analysis of aerial and orbital image data
