Biography

Spencer is a Robotics Systems Engineer for the Robot Ops and V&V group. He earned a M.S. in Robotics Engineering, B.S. in Robotics Engineering, and minor in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Spencer was an engineering intern at Ingram Machining and Medtronic where he learned manufacturing processes, rework of released devices, CNC machining, and validation/verification processes. From October 2021-January 2023, he worked as an Automation and Robotics Engineer at Textron Aviation where he designed, built, programmed, and implemented robotic and automated systems used in aviation/aerospace component manufacturing. At JPL, Spencer is currently working on the Mars 2020 Perseverance rover sampling and caching systems along with rover planning.
