Biography

Katherine is a mechanical engineer in the Advanced Robotic Systems Group at JPL. She is currently working on projects designing and building an inspection robot and a mine-exploration robot, and is the hardware and field test lead for an airborne mission. A large part of her work is in tether management systems for mobile robots. She has previously worked on R&D for Mars Sample Return and the development of sampling tools for Europa.
