Biography

Dr. Jonathan Becktor, a Robotics Technologist in the Maritime and Multi-Agent Autonomy group at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). In 2023, he recieved his Ph.D. from the Department of Electrical and Photonics Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark, specializing in robust object detection for maritime autonomy. He received his B.S in Computer Science and Engineering and M.S in Computer Science in 2015 and 2017 respectively from the Techincal University of Denmark.

Jonathan's professional experience includes a role as a Machine Learning Engineer at 3Shape, applying machine learning to medical and dental 3D scans. At JPL, Jonathan continues to contribute to the development and deployment of innovative robotic systems in various challenging environments, leveraging his expertise in computer vision, uncertainty estimation, and machine learning.
