Robotic Arm Design Process

Data on JPL robotic arm designs and robotic arm design processes will be collected through a combination of document searches and interviews of key robotic arm design personnel (CogEs PEMs Contractors). Particular attention will be given to the MSP robotic arm the MER IDD the Pheonix robotic arm and the MSL robotic arm. Once the data is collected it will be compiled into a design process document and set of data files for each robotic arm. These data files will contain key arm parameters used in modeling the arms and will be integrated with a simple tool for accessing the data and showing how it can be used as part of the arm design process.
