This task is focused on the development of several new technologies that will augment the state-of-the-art Ground Data System (GDS) from the Mars Exploration Rover (MER) mission so that it can be used to more effectively achieve the goals of the Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) mission. More specifically, this task has identified several areas of focus within the domain of science activity planning.
