Intelligent Autonomy for Maritime Navigation on Unmanned Surface Vehicles

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) is the government monitor for the Autonomous Maritime Navigation (AMN) with Spatial Integrated Systems, Inc (SIS). This project is tasked with the design and demonstration of an Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) in complicated mission scenarios.

JPL will integrate and test the sensing capabilities needed for hazard detection/avoidance in harbor environments. JPL will then implement to extend the capabilities for complicated operations such as docking/undocking in harbor environments, integrate them with the AMN USV, and demonstrate autonomous operations in the field.
