Coordinated Tactical Behaviors

As part of the Autonomy program of the Office of Naval Research (ONR), Coordinated Tactical Behaviors aims to develop, implement, and demonstrate multi-vehicle autonomy enabling unmanned ground vehicles to perform collaborative behaviors in support of various expeditionary military missions. Examples missions include force resupply, convoy protection, and road reconnaissance. Together with the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), JPL is developing new algorithms for robust execution of complex mission behaviors, as well as long- and short-range path coordination and formation control. To support these functions, algorithms for multi-vehicle relative localization and inter-vehicle consensus are also being developed as part of the task.
