Ashish Goel
Research Technologist
(Full description>>)
Ashish Goel is a Research Technologist at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in the Robotic Surface Mobility group. Ashish received his Masters and PhD in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University where he worked with Prof. Sigrid Close, developing sensors and techniques for the detection and characterization of meteoroid and orbital debris impacts in space. He received his bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. Prior to joining JPL, Ashish also worked as a postdoctoral researcher with Prof. Sergio Pellegrino in the Graduate Aerospace Laboratories at Caltech. He developed optimized trajectories for a planar formation of space solar power satellites. He also served as a systems engineer and worked on the design of flight electronics for the Autonomous Assembly of a Reconfigurable Space Telescope (AAReST) project.
