Dr. Adrian Stoica has been appointed as the new Group Supervisor for Advanced Robotic Controls. In his 12 years at JPL he has achieved the levels of Senior Research Scientist and Principal Member of the Technical Staff. Additionally, he has been awarded the JPL Lew Allen Award (1999) as well as 5 patents, with 5 more pending. He has published extensively, including 9 journal papers and over 100 conference papers. While his more recent work has concentrated on evolvable hardware, he has a background in fuzzy/neural systems and humanoid robotics, going back as far as his Ph.D. thesis work from Victoria Univesity, Australia.
