Biography (more>>)
Philip is originally from the Boston area in Massachusetts, but has spent most of my summers in Finland where I hold dual-citizenship and as a result is fluent in Finnish. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with an integrated five year Masters and Bachelors that he completed in four and a half years focusing specifically on robotics. During college, he held three internships: two at MITRE Corp in Massachusetts, and most recently at SpaceX here in LA. Philip was a teaching assistant in the Robotics Institute at CMU as well as for the Electrical Engineering Department as an undergraduate.
Since coming to JPL, Philip has been working maritime perception systems group working on motion planning for the Navys USV swarm and Sea Mob efforts.
