Biography (more>>)
Andrew Boettcher is a software engineer and mathematician working in the robotics modeling and simulation group at JPL. He has worked on software from embedded systems through front end and back end web application programming. His mathematics background spans combinatorial optimization, statistical modeling, and computational fluid dynamics. In all of those pursuits there is one central question: How can one use a computer to approximate an observation, and make an inference from that approximation?
