| Caption: Matched image sequence during Entry, Descent, and Landing (EDL) of the second Mars Exploration Rovers' Lander. The Descent Image Motion Estimation System (DIMES) was used to estimate lateral velocity, and possibly trigger differential firing of retro rockets to prevent tearing of the airbags upon landing.
