Biography

Norman Aisen is a Mechanical Engineer in the Extreme Environment Robotics Group at JPL. His interest includes mechanism design, sample handling and collection systems. Previous work includes Rover configuration studies for Mars 2020, Mars 2020 TRL 6 Torque actuator for sample tube sealing, Sikorsky LIDAR Gimbal design, and ATHLETE Rover tool mechanism design.
Prior to joining JPL in 2005, Norman began his career with NASA at the Ames Research Facility with the Integrated Product Team on Devices and Nanotechnology. There he helped to design strong nano structures for use in high loading situations.
