Khaled S. Ali, PhD

Khaled S. Ali is a member of the technical staff in the Robotic Software Systems group. He has worked on various space flight missions and research tasks since joining JPL in 1996.
Dr. Ali has participated in the Mars Polar Lander, Mars 01 Lander, and both the development and operations of the Mars Exploration Rover flight missions. He has also participated in various robotics research tasks, and he was the CogE for the Spacecraft Surface Systems Software for the Lunar Surface Operations Testbed.
Dr. Ali is currently participating in the Mars Exploration Rover (MER) mission. Khaled is the Flight Software/Data Management Team Lead, and until recently, a Rover Planner. He led the effort to develop, load, and validate the current and previous versions of the flight software, including four new technologies added to the previous version.
