Biography

Andrew joined JPL in January 2015, where he is a Robotics Mechanical Engineer. He is currently engaged in work on microspine grippers for use in various applications.

Andrew graduated with both his MS and BS in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. All throughout his time at CMU, Andrew performed research in the Biorobotics Lab where he designed, built, and tested Modular Snake Robots. These robots use their many degrees of freedom to fit into tightly packed volumes that people and conventional machinery otherwise cannot.
