The Robotic Hardware Systems Group designs, implements, and maintains physical robotic systems and technology for NASA and other government agencies. The group provides:
- Design of robotic hardware architectures and technology
- Hardware systems engineering
- Development, implementation, and environmental qualification of mobility platforms and robotic mechanisms in support of JPL flight and research projects (Surface, Subsurface, Marine, Atmospheric based)
- Development of robotic hardware prototypes
- Integration and test of robotic systems
- Maintenance of section robotic hardware infrastructure
- Collaboration with other NASA centers in support of robotic development programs
